About Me

As a lifelong resident of Zeeland, Michigan, I am deeply rooted in this community. My educational journey has taken me through institutions such as Zeeland Christian, Holland Christian, Calvin College, and Davenport University. I have recently completed my a Master's degree in Finance at Columbia Southern University.

Prior to becoming a candidate for Ottawa County Treasurer, I was employed at GHSP as a Financial Shared Services Manager. Before this role, I served in the fiscal services department at Ottawa County. Before transitioning to the public sector, my husband, Doug, and I owned and operated Zoup Holland until its sale in 2018.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I find enjoyment in activities such as reading, boating, and crafting resin work surfaces.

Family holds a significant place in my life. All three of my children, along with their spouses, reside in Zeeland. Among them, five are employed in the field of education; three at Zeeland Public Schools, one at Edmentum and one at Grand Rapids Community College. My eldest daughter has pursued a career in nursing and has transitioned into self-employment as a health coach.

Collectively, my family and I are committed to our county, striving to cultivate an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
